samantha is 3

so it was samantha's bday. it was a pretty good day. we had fun seeing and playing with family, a dinner of chicken nuggetts and fries and then cake, which of course was purple with purple icing. she got a movie and a ceramic tea set that i had made. she also had her very first hair cut ever. ok well just a trim. but happy birthday my little girl. i am so glad that you are with our family. i cant imagaine not having my little girl in my life. you are so full of happiness and surprises. plus you are now potty trained. what more can i ask for. love you mommy..

christmas

this year was a pretty good year for christmas. christmas eve we had a good spread of appitizers for dinner and watched movies and read the christmas story to the kids. after getting them to bed it was getting everything wrapped and put together. we played a funny joke on the kids this year too. christmas morning they woke up to nothing but a bowl of coal under the tree with a note from "santa". we told them in the note that sometimes all santa brings is coal and that they needed to better and not fight so much or be mean to each other. then wyatt realized it was coreys handwritting and the joke was up. we put everyone is our room and then brought christmas up from the office. we had a good day with lots of games to play with. it was good day. then we ended it with a turkey that corey smoked in his smoker. it was yummy. it has also been fun to have corey home and to be able to see lots of family. the kids had fun. thank goodness i am done..

new toy

well this is emmett's new favorite thing to play with. it actually has legs so it is for when he stands up but it is working great now. he loves the lights, noises etc. he has outgrown his saucer/bouncer thing and just wants to be on the floor so he can move and roll around. he is going to figure out this crawling thing soon and then i am in trouble. A-

so i caught me kids cold

yep i did. i caught the crap that is going around in my house. the kids are doing well and getting alot better and then there is me. i am doing ok but feel a little gunky. thank goodness for hot showers and hot chocolate. anyway i am finally baking my christmas cookies. i know its bad esp since christmas is like 1 week away. oh well atleast i am getting it done. off to put away laundry and bake some more...A-

strep....again

so we have strep in our house again. thanks in part to people bringing there sick kids to church and then sending them to nursery. samantha has brought it home twice in the past month or so. ahhhhh. makes me so mad. if your kids are sick leave them home. anyway so with everyone on antibotics and the kids being cranky it has been a fun filled few days around here. so i am off to scrubbing down my house again and hoping and praying we are done with this for the year..A-

catch up

well things around here have been a little busy. carter has been in preschool and has been loving it. i am keeping busy with all things dawson and have a new calling in church. i am now teaching primary to the 8 year olds. it is fun but sometimes interesting when they go off on one another subject when trying to answer a question. corey is staying busy with work which i am most grateful for. he is also trying to get our p.o.s car back together. he has been replacing the engine. hopefully another weekend or 2 and it will be back on the road. sam is just being sam with trying to help me whenever she feels the need or with playing with her brothers and friends. tomorrow is a day for baking christmas cookies and a few things around the house. more snow is supposed to be coming after our little thaw that we had so who knows. happy busy season to all..A-
