so last night the boys and i went and "gleenned" for potoates

 well all i know is that u go to a fresh harvested field and u go the end of the rows and get all the ones that the farmer could not get becasue he had to turn early so u get those ones.  i have never ever done it before but the boys had a blast.

 we ended up with proabaly with about 150 lbs of fresh from the field potatoes.  all i have to say is yummy and it was free...wahoo

def going to do it again next year..

so after emmett had left the living room and we were trying to find out where he was this is where we found him.. it turned into to this little game.  we thought it was funny too.  enjoy.....A-

so what do u do when u start with this.  well 1st u put baby down for a nap

down to 2...what do u do?

so you are down to 2 what do u do... well after getting all the kids off to school it was the question..so we took a bike ride and went to the park.  of course emmett fell and hurt his chin so then it was bike ride home.  got him settled and down for a nap and sam and i made cookies.  so good.  thinking i might turn them into ice cream sanwhichs later..yummy.  anyway so ya it is weird just having 2 for a few hours.  next year it will be all day.  hmmm.  what an interesting thought..

so this has been one crazy week. i have done 3 batches of plum jam and froze 5 quart bags.

i have been out to my aunt lisa's house and picked some yummy corn, beans, squash and

a few more yummy things.  i have picked apples off a neighbors tree and done 9 quarts of

applessauce.  wow and i still have more to do in the next couple weeks.

i am so glad that i watched and helped my mom can in order that i can do it and put all

this great food away for my family.  oh and i even did banana bread too..

well its september which means its fair time.  we went to the fair today and had a good time.  we walked all over and saw all the animals and all those fun toys you wish you had.  (ie hot tubs, campers).. we had corn dogs, cotton candy, hamburgers and pop.  dont forgot those scone nuggetts.  oh those were good, anyway it was a good time and we are good for one more year.  the rest of the weekend is hanging out as a family and doing my plums.  hope everyone else has a good weekend too.. one busy week

this has been one busy week and there is still so much to do.  carter had kindergarten oriantation on monday and then started going to tues.  yeah for him and me. it is kinda wierd being down to 2 kids again for a few hours.  i have also grocery shopped this week, been out to my aunts garden and picked a ton of fresh produce.  canned more pickled beans and now am going to be doing plum jam this weekend.  my garden is doing well and tomatoes and more squash will be on soon.  not to mention peaches, pears, and apples will be done with in the next couple weeks.  wow i am going to need a vacation after all of this..well now i should go get the laundry going since emmett is asleep but all i really want to do is lay down my self.  well off i go and this weekend its the fair.  wahoo.. i just hope my new replacment camera shows up..A-
