canning season

 well as u can see my garden has exploded and canning season is here.. i have already froze 14 bags of squash for over the winter.. we have eaten white peaches and cherries (i did manage to freeze a few)..also had stuffed peppers for dinner from peppers from my garden and just did some apple sauce today..got 9 quarts..not much off my moms tree but i need to prune this year and i am hoping to get some more from someone in my neighborhood

this is also my my new toy.. corey had a little o.t. which is rare so i was able to buy this..yeah i have wanted one for years and now i do..wahoo.. i know its sad when i get excited over something for canning..

anyway things are startng to get busy around here.. as u can see i have a very buisy 2 year old and last week he thought he would help with dinner and ended up with 2 stitches..i also finished the 2nd week of band camp for the summer and the kids did really well..hopefully we can keep it going and they can do an awesome job for the season.. anyway keeping busy and sorry i havent posted in a while..life has been a little insane..A-

northing much

nothing much has been going on well maybe im not so sure.. after all the family left emmett ended up with hand foot and mouth..let me tell u that was super fun..not..we spent 5 days in doors going no where.. my kids did nothing i sear but watch tv and play video games because i wouldnt let any of them leave cuz of emmett.  he did well and got throught it..by thurs we got to leave the house..amen..wyatt had his 1st over night camp out and loved it.. we also had a fun day with the local 449 at the summer picinic.. it was hot and we all ended up with a  little heat stroke.  the kids are still having fun with summer..the pool and of course the handme down trampoline (thanks steph)..we have been having a ton of fun with this family in our ward..playing cards and eating..the garden is coming on and my fruit will be ready soon too.. have already done apricots and cherrys.. i just hope i can keep up with it all.. band camp is next week and i hope i can manage that and getting my girls where they need to be as well.. i hope u all are doing well and just greatful we have a whole nother month till school starts.. love u A-

merrifield/esplin reunion

so this past week has been full of a ton of family...my parents, 2 sisters and all their kids plus my broand his girl freind came to town.. most of us visited until thurs night when the esplin reunion started..( my moms side of the family).. it was all her siblings, her mother and all their kids and grandkids.. we had a blast.. we ate alot but played hard too.  we played a ton of games, made jewlery, vistied with one another, and of course ate some more..anyway is was a way good time and i had lots of fun seeing cousins that i havent seen in a while.. ill i know is that i was glad that we got to go and cant wait to do it again next year..

family double date

we did a family double date yesterday and it was so much fun.. we went with this family from our ward.. we went shooting which the kids and the big kids enjoyed.. we then had a yummy bbq and then we decided to let our boys have a sleep over.. i dont think they slept much but they had fun playing lots of video games and watching tv.. the big kids played games till 1 am.. omg i am too old to that that.. anyway it was a super fun evening and were def gonna do it again..A-  its nice to have some friends..

summer so far

our summer so far has been  a little crazy.. carter and wyatt have been doing tennis everyday this month and tomorrow is there last day.. (amen)...they are having a pizza and swim party to celebrate..cameron has been doing soccer.. twice a week so not to bad. his game last week he scored both goal.. oh ya..the kids have also been playing with friends and playing in the pool that we bought them..( hopefully it suvives all summer..)..we also have been doing the summer reading program plus scouts.. not to mention my color guard responsilites..plus my parnets cherry tree starting to turn so it was picking on monday and we had a fabulous cherry crsip..so i quess yeah we are insane but atleast we are mostly having fun..A-

lots of family and a week of insanity

so after the dawson reuion and all its unpacking i had a few days to chill with the kids..then me and a few friends had a crazy idea and had a yard sale..yep i know im nuts.. so for a friday and sat we did the thing.. i got rid of a bunch of stuff and made a little cash..not to bad...well then after that i was with the snake river marching band for the week.. i convinced my sister tiff to come and watch my kids during the day so they could go to tennis and i could go to marching band..yep i was one of those kids..the kids out in snake river did really well.. they are still a really new band but they all caught on really well..by the end of the week i had  7 girls for the color quard.. i am super pyshed about it..after all that i played hard with my sisters..one of which is moving to iowa in a few weeks..then on sunday the dawsons got together and celebrated rays birthday.. he would have been 69 this year..we miss him but we go on..it was fun visiting with everyone and eating a ton..well thats what has been going on in my life..hopefully this summer wont be too crazy..we shall see..A-

dawson reunion

the annual dawson reuion was over memorial weekend...we had an awesome time even though about 1/2 of us were missing...so sad...we had a movie night and lots of junk friday night..sat was game show day and thayne, derek, mary and kiama did such a good job.. we played the price is right, minute to win it and this funny game too..everyone was divided into groups, given a basket of things and had to come up with a skit and a song in 30 minutes..so frickin funny.. sunday we got snowed in so it was our own testimony meeting and then a pinterest day..tons of fun activites and crafts.. we had the couples dinner and a slide show..monday it was the auction were we got a handime down ipod..thanks taylor and a few other things..all in all it was a super time and next year its mine and my sister in law amy's time to take over..hopefully we can pull it off..ill let u know next year..A-
